Cave Bekiri in Spetses

Near the beach of Agioi Anargyroi is one of the most beautiful natural attractions of Spetses, the cave Bekiris. The cave has a small sandy beach internally and stalagmites that compose a dreamlike setting. The cave has an entrance from both land and sea, and is very well hidden, thus being the ideal hiding place and fugitive shelter. There are various versions of how the cave got its name. One has it that it was a hiding place from the Turks, for someone called Bekiri, while another has it that Bekiris was the one who betrayed the ones hidden in the cave to the Turks. Either way, it is sure that the cave is of unique beauty and you would be a fool not to visit it. It is no coincidence that a very romantic scene from the famous Greek film "Jenny Jenny" was filmed in Cave Bekiris...

Vrelos Beach in Spetses

The beach is located at the north-western of the island. It is accesible by every transportation found on Spetses, but if you choose to walk there you will grand your self with an enjoyable experience!

If you do not have your own bicycle or motorcycle, then you can easily take the Bus which regularly leaves from the central "Possidonion Square". The beach of Vrellos has been open for the last few years and the people who did this, have accomplished to take a "dead" corner of the island, condemned in its loneliness and turn it to a most vivid and popular place!

Those that remember how the beach was before and see how it has became now, understand what this persons have accomplished, with their continuous work. They created a successful enterprise that offers lot to the customers. By now, it is the meeting point of everyone who wishes to begin his hot summer day, in the best way ever!

Lots of people, suntanned bodies and suntan scents, music that travels you far, and the most tempting blue sea, are the basic pieces that compose a splendid jigsaw. This is the Vrellos Beach. Beach parties are occasionally held and thee are the peak of the events! In this location, you feel that even Summer itself, found the ideal beach to stay forever! Indeed, the summertime lasts more, here!

There is a ground beach volley next to the beach, but in a safe distant, to avoid any nuisance to the swimmers. It is located carefully at a spot where the view to the beach and vice versa is possible in such a way, so those that the Volley players will have a reason or two, to demonstrate their talent. And these reasons are very obvious, as it is very likely to attract the glance of some of the most beautiful people watching the score!

Racquet-playing is available all along the beach, nevertheless it is far more enjoyable in waters or behind the beach bar (if you do not have racquets of your own, don't miss to ask at The beach bar. Most possibly there is a lost & found pair!) under the pines, in a really cool and beautiful spot.

2.6 km from the city of Spetses you will find Ligoneri and its beach. It is pretty big with pebbles and sand. Hmm.. Not a bad idea if you want a chill-out day at the beach.

Ligoneri can be reached from sea by boat or water-taxi, and by bus, taxi or your own vehicle.

Zogeria beach is 7 km away from the town of Spetses, located in the northern part of the isalnd. Zogeria is organised, having a tavern, umbrellas and loungers.

You can reach Zogeria, by sea through boat or water-taxi, and by bus, taxi or your own vehicle.

The beach Agia Paraskevi is 14 kilometers away from the town of Spetses. Extremely green for a beach, it is for many the most beautiful that the island has to offer. Its big pebbles and crystal clear waters are a plus.

You can reach Agia Paraskevi beach, by sea through boat or water-taxi, and by bus, taxi or your own vehicle.

The beach of Agioi Anargyroi is perhaps the most beautiful of the island, and is situated on the opposite side of the town of Spetses, 12 away. It is a beach with considerably green colors and pine trees, covered with pebbles and sandy seabed and clear blue waters. The beach of Agioi Anargyroi is organized with sun beds, umbrellas and water sports facilities, while in the area there is also a restaurant. Next to Agioi Anargyroi beach, the namesake chapel and the beautiful Cave Bekiris are situated.

The beach of Agioi Anargyroi can be reached by sea through boat or water-taxi, and by bus, taxi or your own vehicle.

The beach Ksilokeriza lies 8 kilometers away from the town of Spetses. It is a great beach with crystal clear waters.

Ksilokeriza is organized with sun beds and umbrellas, while in order to reach it by land you will have to walk a steep trail for about half a kilometer.

Ksilokeriza can be reached from sea by boat or water-taxi, and by bus, taxi or your own vehicle.

The small beach of Kouzounos is located 2 km from Agia Marina( and therefore 4 km from the city f Spetses). Being a bit difficult to access by land, it is a great choice for swimming in peace.
