Karterados beach is very close to Monolithos.
Huge and quiet, this beach is ideal for a quiet swim, this is why it is preferred by locals. Karterados beach is paved with small black pebbles, it has crystal clear waters and the impressive rocks above the beach complement this unique landscape.
Baksedes beach is on the northeastern side of the island, near Oia. It has dark sand and crystal clear waters. In the area there are restaurants and cafes to enjoy food, coffee or drinks.
Monolithos beach is close to the airport, on the eastern side of the island, so it is the first thing you see when you land in Santorini.
Thanks to its lovely black sand and shallow waters, Monolithos is considered to be the best family beach in Santorini. It is organized with sun beds, umbrellas and playground for children. In the area there are basketball fields and a beach volley. Also, if you get hungry, you will find has several restaurants as well as hotels, rooms and bars.
Mouzakia beach is perfect for those who have their own boat or can afford to rent one. It is located between Oia and Imerovigli. You can get to Mouzakia beach only by sea but the clear and relatively quiet waters, will reward you.
Mesa Pigadia beach is in the southwestern part of the island, near Akrotiri. Quite protected from the winds, it is organized with sun beds and umbrellas, while the impressive cliffs above the beach add a special touch to your swimming experience.
Kouloubos beach is located in the northern part of the island. It is covered with tiny pebbles, while its waters are crystal clear and relatively warm. Being a pretty quiet beach, it is often chosen by some for nudism.
Not far away from the beach, is also the underwater crater Kouloubos that was found in 1650, when it exploded for the last time. Experienced divers can give its exploration a shot, since, although the crater is at a depth of 500 meters, there are shallower spots.
Kokini Paralia (Red Beach) is one of the most unique beaches of Santorini, located in the southern part of the island near Akrotiri. What makes this beach extraordinary, are its reddish pebbles and the impressive red volcanic rocks that surround it. And yes, its name was a result of this unique characteristic.
The Red Beach-Kokini Paralia attracts many visitors due to its distinctive beauty. It is organized with sun beds, umbrellas and water sports facilities.
Red Beach-Kokini Paralia can be reached either from the sea by boat starting from Akrotiri beach, or by car (and then a 10 minutes walk).
Between Kokini Beach and Aspri Beach you will find the beach of Kambia. Although small, it is a well organized beach with sun beds, umbrellas and a tavern.
Kamari beach,one of the most famous beaches of Santorini and the entire Cyclades, is 7 km from Fira. It is extremely large (more than 1.5 km), it is covered by a beautiful layer of sand, while having clear waters, sun beds, umbrellas and water sports facilities. Kamari Beach (and Perissa) gathers most people and has easy access and ample parking for guests.
In the wider region, there are many hotels and guest houses, as well as restaurants and beach bars.
The beach of Thermi is in southwestern part of the island, about 7 kilometers from Fira. This is another rather quiet beach with black pebbles, ideal for a relaxing bath. In the past, this used to be a place with hot springs and baths. An interesting attraction in Thermi beach is a church carved into the rocks.
