Edipsos is situated in the northern part of Euboea(Evia).

Edipsos is famous, not only in Greece but throughout the world, for its famous thermal waters. Kymi is located in Euboea(Evia).

Karystos is in the south of Euboea(Evia).

Karystos is the southernmost city in Euboea with a very good street plan and interesting neoclassical buildings. In Karystos you will find excellent restaurants and taverns where you can enjoy fresh fish, seafood and greek delicacies, as well as cafes and bars to drink a coffee or a drink overlooking the sea. Once you realize how much you like Karystos, you will find remarkable hotels and rooms to extend your stay and several attractions, among which Bourtzi and Kokkino Kastro (Castello Rosso) stand out.

The city of Chalkida is in Euboea(Evia).

Chalkida is built on both sides of the Evripos Strait with one part being in Evia and the other in Central Greece. The city has been important since antiquity, possessing colonies, until the the 8th century B.C., when, due to the Lelantine War, Chalkida was led to gradual decline.

Today Chalkida is the capital, the largest city and the administrative center of Evia. Strolling in Chalkida, you will admire major attractions such as the Bridge of Chalkida, Karababa Castle, Kokkino Spiti (=the Red House), the Archaeological Museum of Chalkida and the Folklore Museum of Chalkida.

The most famous attraction, though, is natural. This is the famous Evripos tide, a unique phenomenon that puzzled the wise men of antiquity who struggled to explain it. Hundreds of visitors stop here daily to see first hand this very interesting natural phenomenon.

Chalkida can be reached by car from Athens, covering about 70 km. The city has many hotels, restaurants, taverns, cafes and bars, being an excellent choice either for a day trip or for long holiday.

No matter how much free time you have, arrange a small dash in Chalkida. Even if its a short walk for lunch and fresh fish, you will surely not regret it.
