Episkopi church in Sikinos

Episkopi is in the western part of Sikinos island.

Episkopi is a Christian church, but what is very important for the island is the place where it is actually built. This seems to be the place where the first inhabitants of Sikinos had settled, while excavations revealed ruins that some say belong to the temple of Apollo and others in a later Roman building, probably mausoleum. A sign of the existence of an older building are the two Doric columns on the left and right of the church's door.

Not only is Episkopi worth visiting, but also the path you will walk is as beautiful as the temple.
