Monastiri beach is in the northern part of Paros island.
It is a quite busy beach, near the environmental park on the island. Organized with sun beds and umbrellas, it has blue shallow waters and is protected from the northern winds.
Due to its popularity, it is certainly not the best option for those who want to enjoy solitary swim. But it is ideal for everyone else, as besides its natural beauty, Monastiri beach features an excellent beach bar and restaurants that will complete your day by the beach.
Monastiri beach takes its name from the nearby monastery of Agios Ioannis Dettis, while in the area there is an open-air theater where concerts and other cultural events are held in the summer.
