The first attempt to create the Byzantine Museum of Paros in the area of Ekatontapiliani church, started in the early 20th century on the initiative of Father George Scaramangas, who started collecting the appropriate material. For some years a rather rudimentary museum operated that later closed and then reopened to obtain its final present form in 1996. Since then it operates permanently, welcoming thousands of visitors each year.
In the Byzantine Museum you have tha chance to see among others:
