The Archaeological Museum of Paros is in Parikia.
Operating since 1960, the Archaeological Museum of Paros hosts findings from excavations in Paros, Antiparos and Despotiko.
Among the exhibits the visitor will admire :
- A marble statue depicting the Gorgon
- A marble statue of the goddess Artemis found at Delion
- A marble statue of Niki found in Parikia
- A marble plaque depicting the famous poet Archilochus
- Cycladic figurines
- Architectural parts from various buildings
The majority of the statues are crafted in garnet, the famous Parian marble. Besides, the island has a long tradition of the art of marble processing.
