Getting Around in Mykonos

In Mykonos you can either move with your own vehicle or rent one from the many rental offices that operate on the island.

Alternatively you can use the KTEL of Mykonos (information at 22890-23360, 22890-26797 and www.ktelmykonos.gr)
There are three KTEL starting points in three different focal points of the city.

  • Starting point 1 is at Agiou Louka Square (St. Luke) - Fabrica in the south of the region, having as destinations Platis Yialos, Psarou, Ornos, Agios Ioannis, the "Paradise" (Kalamopodi) and Paraga.
  • Starting point 2 is in the square behind the building of OTE, right at the city's entrance from the harbor, with Ano Mera, Kalafatis and Elia in the east as destinations.
  •  Starting point 3 is in the area by the dock at the Old Port (Palio Limani), having as destinations the new Port of Tourlos and Agios Stefanos, just north of the city.

Mykonos also features taxi services without taximeter, but with fixed prices depending on the destination (tel. 22890 – 23700 and 22890 – 22400)

To visit the southern beaches you can take a traditional boat (kaiki) from Platy Gialo or Orno, while small boats depart to Delos from Chora.
