Mikri Vigla beach is in the western part of Naxos.

The beach takes its name from an observatory that was located here in earlier times, which supervised the area and warned for pirate ships. The beach is divided into two sections, covered with sand. The larger, called "Parthenos"(the Virgin), is a venue for windsurfing enthusiasts and especially kite surf. The smaller, called "Limanaki" (the Harbor), is more suitable for swimming.

So if you love windsurfing and kite surf, you will spend your holidays in Mikri Vigla--you'd be a fool not to!

In the southeastern part of the island, you will find Panermos/Panormos beach.
