Drios is in the eastern part of Paros island.
This beach is located in front of the namesake village and is paved with pebbles and sand. It has crystal clear and cool waters where you can enjoy swimming under the shade of tamarisk trees. Right on the beach you will find excellent taverns serving fresh fish and amazing appetizers overlooking the sea. In ancient times, Drios was the harbor where merchant ships loaded the world-known Parian marble. Even today the grooves of the wagons that loaded marble are visible at the rocks at the edge of the beach. According to another saying, these grooves were made in order to raise the ships easily to the land and protect them from the bad weather. Whatever the truth may be, they are definitely an attraction of Drios beach.
