Nikos Perantinos was an important Greek sculptor originally from Paros. After a remarkable and creative areer, Nikos Perantinos returned to Paros and founded a marble carving workshop to ensure the tradition of sculpting continues in Paros. Following his death in 1991, the Museum of Sculpture "Nikos Perantinos" was founded, in order to exhibit all the artistically exquisite sculptures the distinguished Greek artist had created.
